Electrogalvanizing provides a protective layer that prevents rust and corrosion

Protect and extend the lifespan of your cable trays with electrogalvanizing.

Electrogalvanizing, also known as electroplating, is a method used to coat steel or iron with a thin layer of zinc to protect against corrosion and wear. Electrogalvanizing as a surface treatment for cable trays is suitable for environments with very low corrosion, such as indoors in heated spaces with dry air and minimal pollution.

Electrogalvanizing is effective for environments with low to moderate corrosivity, corresponding to the corrosion classes C1 (very low corrosivity) and C2 (low corrosivity). According to standards: SS-EN ISO 2081:2008, DIN 50961, DIN-EN 12329.

To reduce the risk of corrosion in C1 environments, materials with inherent corrosion resistance or protective coatings are often chosen. The recommended surface treatment is electrogalvanizing.

Advantages of electrogalvanizing:

  • Corrosion protection:

Electrogalvanizing provides a protective layer that prevents rust and corrosion, extending the lifespan of the cable tray.

  • Cost-effective:

Compared to other surface treatments, electrogalvanizing is often an affordable option that still offers good durability.

  • Aesthetically pleasing

The smooth and bright surface of electrogalvanized cable trays can provide an aesthetic advantage in visible installations.

  • Quick installation:

The lightweight design makes electrogalvanized cable trays quick and easy to install, saving time and labor costs.
